Eagle's Nest Company Planning Meeting & Playreading
Friday 17th June 7pm

Every second Friday there is a company planning meeting at Eagle's Nest Theatre. These meetings are an open forum often attended by people who have already been involved with ENT as well by new people keen to do find out more about what we do or get involved.

If you're an actor wanting to audition for us at some point coming along might be a good chance to meet the people you could be working with and there are always plenty of production, coordination and publicity roles that might be your chance to get your foot in the door.

There are big jobs and small wait with your name on them regardless of your level of experience - so come say hi.

Playreading TBC

Watch this space for more info coming up on our playreading.

These readings are a great chance to catch up with old arts mates as we as an opportunity for new people to get involved.

New works readings - Michael Healy's The Quiet Life this Friday

As part of our new works reading program the reading for this week is THE QUIET LIFE Michael Healy.

Michael is the author of Outlaw, produced by ENT in 2010, and Flight, which will be produced by ENT at the La Mama Courthouse in December this year.

About The Quiet Life:
...A play about Robert, Janet his wife, Emma his daughter, May his lover and Colin his friend.

Robert is an ex-pat Australian lawyer long resident in London. His old Australian friend Colin is coming to visit. Robert's wife Janet is unwilling to give up their backyard studio as a guest room because she has got used to having it as a room of her own. Colin's visit intensifies existing tensions in the family, giving rise to some serious argy bargy. Emma's response to her parents' unhappy marriage also takes a disturbing turn. As well the visit tests Colin and Robert's long but unsatisfactory friendship, contrasting its youthful beginnings with its middle-aged reality. Meanwhile, Robert seeks refuge in the company of his Chinese masseuse, May.

These readings are a great chance to catch up with old arts mates as we as an opportunity for new people to get involved.

If you would like to come along either as a reader or as an audience member, let us know via James: 0423 339 431 – james@eaglesnesttheatre.com
